In partnership with GreenTurf’s Philippines partners, our Robinson Galleria Mall project showcases the frontiers of vertical gardens and green landscapes in transforming retail and leisure spaces. The use of quality artificial plants was crucial in translating the vision to bring a scenic view to a mall.
What was the inspiration behind this project?
Robinson Galleria Mall is anchored in the concept, “It’s always paradise”. This is a place to celebrate life, where you can shop, dine, be entertained or enjoy the atmosphere. We envision the space to play with tones and textures of green plants in order to create a scenery that transports you to another world.
How was your experience working with GreenTurf?
Originally, the client meant to use real plants for the basement promenade but we quickly recognised site constraints and heavy maintenance costs in the future. Thus, we looked into using artificial green walls as our primary material instead, which brought us to GreenTurf.

The quality of the product is a class above cheaper artificial green walls. You get no foul plastic smell. It also comes with test reports which is essential in projects that are very conscious of high standards of material use.
What do you feel the project speaks about designing spaces?
Artificial green walls are widely used now in the Philippines. Robinson Galleria Mall is recognised as a green destination for shoppers and family to relax and unwind.
