Artificial Green Walls in Restaurants and Cafes
We go to restaurants to fill our bellies and nourish our bodies. But what if they also relax and soothe our minds?
That’s what these restaurants achieved that with GreenTurf’s artificial green walls.
There are a few ways that these artificial green walls achieve this.
It doesn’t even have to be in a Chinese restaurant with your
least favourite relatives. We all have been to cafes and restaurants where the sound volume just kills the taste of the food. Do we really need to know what happened to that woman seated at the next table when she sent an email complaining about her boss to the whole office by mistake? I guess not.
But that’s frequently what happens when food establishments don’t pay enough attention to the ambience. Low ceilings and close seating can exacerbate the problem of a noisy restaurant or café and add to a stressful dining experience.
Artificial green walls are able to absorb much of the noise due to the air trapped within the foliage. Some of the restaurants we have worked with installed them on their ceilings and walls and this helped to reduce the noise level in the dining areas.
Modern and Soothing Ambience
Biophilia, literally translated to mean a “love for nature”, is in all of us. And when we are able to dine in nature, or at least close to it, it puts us in a much better mood.
For a (hopefully) busy restaurant, maintaining live green plants may not be an option due to the high maintenance costs to hire gardeners to prune the plants from time to time; and to water the plants daily. Most staff would not naturally have the necessary skills to know how much water to give the plants.
Artificial green walls are a viable option of providing greenery without all the maintenance required to keep them looking tip top.
Little Space Required
When every square inch of space costs as much as they do in cities like Singapore, large pots of plants many not be the best way to make use of space within restaurants.
So instead of greening on the floor, we green the walls. With more than 100 types of plants, there’s no limit to the type of artificial vertical gardens you can create.
For very tight spaces, choose a flat vertical garden design like the English Pride.
To partition dining areas or to create more private dining spaces, put plants in pot dividers.
These artificial green walls are easily adapted to your restaurant.
Green Impossible Places
Artificial green walls don’t die, don’t need watering, and don’t need to be pruned or replaced.
Places that were previously impossible to green, can now benefit from having plants in the form of artificial green walls. Think washrooms, ceilings, dark indoor areas that see no sunlight, bright alfresco areas that see too much sunlight. We are only limited by our imagination.
Restaurants with alfresco areas would understand the pain of having passers-by with itchy fingers damaging their live plants all too well. With GreenTurf artificial green walls, there’s no more fear of the plants being damaged.
